Back-end login hangs during authentication

Of particular note is the DOM or DOMXML library; if this is not installed, the back-end login will not be successful and will ‘hang’ during authentication.

Recently, a bug in the AMFPHP plugin caused the same problem with PHP 5.2.x. You need to update <joomla_root>/components/com_expose/expose/manager/amfphp/amfcore/app/Gateway.php to fix this from our downloadsite.
